Wow, times flies... it's been a year and you know you have faithful and returning costumers when they, somewhat concerned. ask if there won't come a newsletter soon. :)

People are buying more and more vinyl again... which only proves I was right the whole time! And last year Electronic Obsession released it's first full length album, Angaudlinn's "Stories From The Red Book". Check it out in the label section where you also find copies of the other releases: http://electronic-obsession.se/label.asp

This month saw the release of a great compilation on the equally great 4MG Records. On it you find wave and minimal, synthpop and synthwave from all over Europe and I've got a bunch (well, I started with 50) of pristine copies for you to lay hands on. Limited to 500 copies, and they're getting fewer by the day.

Those of you who haven't already, can find me over at discogs too:
https://www.discogs.com/seller/simplyanalogue
But remember, the amazing "up-to-30%-deal" isn't valid there. Read more about it in the shop.

Enjoy the browsing and drop me a line if you've got any Q's!

New year and more records added... but most excitingly:

The third release on the label Electronic Obsession is now out! Angaudlinn makes synthpop, or Hobbitpop, or experimental minimal wave or something else, or all of it. EO 003 is called "Stories from the Red Book" and is pressed in a numbered limited edition of 300 copies in two-coloured vinyl. Every thing on it is inspired by Tolkien and his wonderful world. Check it out under the label tab where you can find both image and sound clips of the album. Records are shipped in numerical order, so no need to ask for number 242 or something like that. :)

It's now Spring and I'm still adding vinyl singles to discogs and they're going in a steady pace. Make sure you don't miss any goodies. Enjoy the browsing and drop me a line if you've got any Q's!

October 22nd 2015:

Who am I kidding, monthly updates? I changed the title of this into "autumn news" to better match what this is...

In addition to the new records I have also added the possibility for my fellow swedes to pay using swish. instant, free of fees and safe.

It's October now and I've added a bunch of records since last time you heard from me. Among them you find parts of a small but good Depeche Mode collection I recently bought. There are also the usual odd bits of NDW, synthpop, EBM, minimal synth, some punk and italo etc.

The confirmation mails that's supposed to go out when you order doesn't work. But don't panic, I send them manually instead. Enjoy the browsing and drop me a line if you've got any Q's!

I'm trying to keep up with my former tempo... so here's an update!

It's August now and I've updated and lowered prices on a lot of vinyl singles as well as having added some new goodies. When it comes to my label a new digital single is out with Angaudlinn. You find more info here:

July 1st 2014:

Wow, talk about delay... it's been exactly a year since Electronic Obsession's last "monthly" newsletter!

So, why the delay? Well, I have a life beside EO and though I love records, that also takes it's toll. I have also been focusing on studio works. Angaudlinn keeps releasing digital singles on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify and the work with the debut vinyl album is in progress so stay tuned!

But... Electronic Obsession is still alive and kicking after more than 20 years. I'm clearing out CD's and my main focus is still vinyl. I have added some new goodies since last time you heard from me so check out the site.

Long time, no see... and no mails either...

Well, I've been busy in my everyday life, but now things are getting a bit smoother again and then I wanted to let you know Electronic Obsession is still around. It's June and summer here in Sweden now and I've added a bunch of vinyls along some edited prices on CDs since last time you heard from me. February 4th 2013:

Welcome to the first news mail in 2013 and the site passed two millions visitors without a single word from me...

As some might notice there are hardly anything new in the shop, but the old stuff is moving faster. Why, you may ask? It's because some of you have finally done your math. 1% discount for each ordered vinyl up to 50 is a LOT of discount! This means that when reaching 50 you might even save money by adding more. Let me know when some other store can offer something that good!

What more... the first Electronic Obsession release is almost sold out. It's been out there a while, but now I'm down to the last few copies so pick one up unless you have already. A future collector's classic maybe? :) When thinking about the sadness in this I've decided to increase the price with each sold copy. There are 11 copies now (numbered 90-100). Number 90 is still 40 SEK but then they'll increase by 20% each time one is sold.

December 12th 2012:

Hi all!

I try not to spam you but only update on a monthly basis. But since I missed November and now have cool news for you I dare an extra mid-december mail.

The 15th of December is the official release date for the compilation of electronic interpretations of 70's classics. This may sound like a standard compilation, but on the contrary! All artists have interpreted one track chosen for them by project mastermind Eddie Bengtsson (Page, S.P.O.C.K, Sista Mannen På Jorden etc) and all the proceeds from the sales is sent to swedish charity Musikhjälpen which this year focus on giving children in slum areas of major cities clean water.
You get a prefessionally pressed CD with sleeve and the additional 7" booklet. It's limited to 500 copies worldwide and about half of these are already spoken for!

On the disc you can hear classics from Slade, Sweet, Neil Young, Sly & The Family Stone, Tom Jones etc interpreted by Page, Tectonic Knights (Joakim from Covenant), Diskodiktator etc. Since I'm involved in the project and also participate on the CD I've decided to offer these at "shop price", which is 100 SEK + shipping. This means that I won't make a dime on these and that I therefor cannot offer discounts either.

There is no separate entry in the shop just yet but feel free to mail your interest and thanks for your time and will to end the suffering of thousands too, by buying and listening to great music!

"How winter kills..."

You're right, there were no November news letter. Instead I was in New York City for my first abroad vacation in ages. And guess who decided to join us... The Hurricane Sandy. I guess it serves me right since I always write about weather here. Anyway, a bit shaken I decided to skip the newsletter and postpone updates...

...until now! I've added a bunch of vinyls this week. Many of them from splendid Dödsdans Rekords. Check out some of the old swedish demo gems! There's also other goodies and I do my best to dig up more.

So, now he's back again, that backwards striving swede with his vinyls...

It's September now and I've added a bunch of silver discs and black vinyls since last time you heard from me. It's been 19 years since the first sign from Electronic Obsession. That means it's been a part of my life for half my life... which means I should get a life... or? :)

Hi collectors and other odd-balls!

New month and new listings... Don't miss out on the great discount ladder - there's money to be saved. The more items you buy, the larger the discount. If you want one slightly more expensive item it might even be a good idea to add some cheap stuff to get the price down. For every item added you get another percentage as discount, up to 50 percent!

Splash!

Summer is here so wether you're "on a crowded beach, washed by the sun" or inside 'cause "Oh God, it's raining, but I'm not complaining" there's time to surf Electronic Obsession. Since I'm one of those reactionary ones who collect vinyls and nag about the 80's it took me some time to get a so called smart phone and double check that the site worked well there too... it does, so browse away!

I've added many new items and left the latest additions from May in the news section too since I accidentally messed up a few pictures. Now they're there, and hopefully with the right images to go with them. I've also added more CD's from the dark shelves of the vaults and there are also a bunch of 7"s in the pipeline.

Happy Birthday Vince!

Hi,

the coldest June in Sweden since 1928 has taken us all by surprise. I couldn't care less 'cause I've been busy with what's hopefully going to be the next release on the Electronic Obsession label. :) But I have also had the opportunity to add a few really good records to the shop. Some of the best releases on Minimal Wave is now available from Electronic Obsession. Unreleased stuff from Hard Corps, the amazing Circuit 7, Futurisk, Autumn, Martin Dupont and Martin Lloyd is here. Limited and brand new. One of them has even sold out since they arrived here. You'll find them all under "Latest arrivals" in the artists section of the menu.

Hi collectors, lovers of old electronic gold and general bargain hunters!

Finally Spring found it's way to Sweden for real and my red face tells me I should spend time indoors and then I realised it was time for a news letter. I've spent the last month updating the shop with images and also added a good bunch of new stuff. As mentioned earlier, I try to clean out the CD's so keep an eye there. They go at a steady pace, not seldom more expensive on another site than here at Electronic Obsession. You faithful buyers has an advantage. :)

April 7th 2012:

Happy Easter everyone! (well, soon anyway...)

I've updated the shop with new items and there are more to come. This because I'm cleaning out the majority of the CD's and as one leaves I try to add another from the dark shelves of Electronic Obsession storage. So, where is this clearout going on? I've added hundreds of discs at http://www.discogs.com/seller/simplyanalogue if you find that way of shopping easier and you have paypal cash to get rid of.
Once again I managed to miss the net-birthday of Electronic Obsession, but Easter can also be a time to celebrate so I offer 10% discount on everything ordered through the site and payed before the May news mail. The standard discount ladder is still in use so buying more means a larger discount. (i e 1% extra discount on each added item up to a total of 50%). Make sure to include the code "Easter2012" somewhere among your ordering details.

March 3rd 2012:

Hi!

Here's the monthly newsmail from Electronic Obsession again. I sound like a crappy parrot, but unfortunately there are few new additions. I've focused on adding silver circles on another online site to get rid of them and make room for vinyls and more interesting items. It's been working out pretty well this far so soon I can get to the boxes of unlisted
